Efficient Chapters: Weekly Meetings

We talked about the importance of having strong leadership and a strong E-board. We also shared about the importance of incorporating structure to your meetings by incorporating Roberts Rules of Order. Today we’ll talk about how fruitful it is to have weekly meeting for both the e-board and the chapter at large.

It is essential for the e-board to meet weekly so that the different e-board members can discuss their upcoming projects, or the important things they have coming up. This also allows them to ask for help or assistance from other e-board members to complete these tasks. These weekly e-board meetings also allow the brothers and sisters in leadership position to make the necessary decision for the chapter as a whole. On a basic level, it is also a great way for the e-board members to be prepared for the meeting with the chapter as a whole.

Weekly meeting with the chapter at large is equally as important, but for another set of reasons. Weekly chapter meetings keeps members connected and involved. It is a built in way to see brothers and sisters at least once a week. This helps strengthen the bond between your membership. It also keeps your membership up to date, and ensures a constant flow of information.
